Hi! Welcome to our office. I am Dr. Misty Senz. I am a Chiropractic Physician and Naturopathic Doctor. That’s me and part of my beautiful family in the picture. Phil, my husband, and our youngest son Cam.
A little about myself before you look around the rest of this website. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science, Doctorate of Chiropractic, Fellowship in Pediatric Chiropractic Health, certification in Holistic Wellness Nutrition and the Webster in-utero constraint technique. I have been practicing since 1997, opened my 2nd practice in Perry, Ohio in 2000, and recently moved to Painesville. I am excited to be in the community in which I live. I have a passion for health and teaching others how to achieve optimum wellness in a natural way
I decided to become a Chiropractor after years of suffering from poor health and headaches. It was only after I started seeing a chiropractor and learned how blockages in the nervous system decrease the bodies own ability to heal and be healthy, that I began to regain my health and get my life back. I got such great results through chiropractic and lifestyle modification that I knew I wanted to be able to help others. The most rewarding thing about my "job"(it is really a lifestyle to me) is seeing a sick, tired, depressed, unhealthy, medication reliant patient come to me after being under care for a while and they tell me they have been feeling so much better, have more energy and they haven't taken a pill in weeks! It is so awesome to see a persons personality change right before your eyes! And all without drugs! Just the power of the body working.
So you can see it wasn't a large leap to invest in more education to become a Naturopathic Doctor. I teach the living priciples for health: eat, move, and think for health. That is to say, teaching patients how applying natural lifestyle approaches can act to facilitate the body’s own natural healing and health building potential. Like a Chiropractor, Naturopaths do not "diagnose" or "treat diseases," but rather recognizes that the majority of sub-health conditions are cumulative lifestyle effects, and that the underlying cause of what we call "disease" (or, "dis-ease") is improper nerve supply and diet, unhealthy habits, and environmental factors which cause biological imbalances leading to a weakening of the bodies’ natural defenses and subsequent breakdown in health.
As a Chiropractor and Naturopath, I can guide and teach my patients in natural health approaches such as fasting and detoxification, dietary improvements, the use of herbs, homeopathy, natural and whole food supplements, exercise, rest, and other natural health modalities.
We live and teach the principles Wellness, follow a paleo diet, exercise regularly and practice stress relief techniques.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your Optimal Health
